What is Cancer Insurance?

Cancer insurance is a form of supplemental insurance meant to offset cancer-related expenses so you can focus on recovery.

Plan Rules:

  • Eligibility: All full-time employees working 30+ hours, spouse, and children (up to age 26)

  • Coverage through Guardian

  • Payments made directly to you and do no offset with medical insurance

  • No health questions - Every Year! (Pre-existing condition will apply for new participants)

  • Keep your coverage even if you retire or change employers

  • The chart below is a sample of covered services. Please see Plan Certificate for a detailed listing of services in their entirety.

  • No age reduction

  • 30 day waiting period (initial diagnosis)

  • Any illness or injury for which you received treatment the 12 months prior to your effective date will not be covered for the first 12 months.

  • If previously diagnosed with cancer, must be 5 years cancer free
